Pyaar ki sham'en jalaao, roshni ho jaayegi
Maan lo barham fizaao , roshni ho jaayegi
Zebe-tan kar lo libase-Masnavi-e-Room ko
Ai mere dil ki sadaao roshni ho jaayegi
Tang ho zulm-o-sitam se, phir khmoshi kisliye ?
Haq ki aawazen uthaao, roshni ho jaayegi
Gham ka rishta zindagi ke saath gahra hai bahot
Gham men khul kar muskuraao, roshni ho jaayegi
Is jahaan men dushmanon ke beech jeena seekh lo
Apni duniya khud banaao , roshni ho jaayegi
Maslehat ko waqt ki samjho, milo akhlaaq se,
Talkhiyaan lab par na laao, roshni ho jaayegi
Ye mazahib ke jawan bazaar hain misl-e-saraab
Inke fatwon par na jaao , roshni ho jaayegi
Zulmaton se pur, khizaan-aalood mausam ke khilaaf

GHAZAL : ZAIDI JAFAR RAZA

Nadee ke pukhta iraade badal na paayenge .
Ham abke gaaon se apne nikal na paayenge.
Hawaayen tez bahot hain zaraa thahar jaao,
Abhi chiraagh jalaaoge, Jal na paayene.
Balandiyan hamen is darja kis liye hain aziz,
Gire yahaan se to hargiz sanbhal na paayenge.
Unhen banaaoon main kis tarh raazdan apna,
Jo do Qadam bhi mere saath chal na paayenge.
Agar hon khasta bahot ghar ke sab dar-o-deewar,
To ghar ke log kisi lamha kal na paayenge.
Zidon se aur bhi hote hain mas'ale paida.
Zidon ke saath masaa'il ke hal na paayenge.
Main chand roz ka mehmaan hun yaqeen keeje,
Phir aap honton pe mere ghazal na paayege.

Kya khoob dars-gaahe-Aligarh hai dosto.

Baaten banaa'o, naam kama'0, maze karo..

Padhne-padhaane ka hai tumhen gar zara bhi shauq.

Samjho gale men pad gaya gumnaamiyon ka tauq..

Kursi se badhke koi muallim nahin yahaan,

Hoti hain har zamaane men makhdum kursiyan..

Allaama sirf vo hai jo kursi-nasheen hai.

Kursi n ho to ilm-o-amal be-yaqeen hai..

Vaise to kursiyon ki hai bharmar har taraf.

Lekin harek kursi ko haasil nahin sharaf..

Kursi ke maani hote hain qudrat-v-ikhtiyaar.

Jaah-o-hasham hai kursi se kursi se iqtidaar..

Kursi bahot aham hai yahaan ke nizaam men.

Kursi hate to subhen badal jaayen shaam men..

Kursi men vo kashish hai ke sabko lagaa'v hai.

Kursi se aadmi ka yahaan mol-bhaa'v hai..

Kursi hi sadr-e-shoba hai kursi hi Dean hai.

Kursi asaatiza ke liye mehjabeen hai..

Kursi kabhi Provost kabhi Warden ka naam.

Yaani, zarooraton ke mutaabiq ghaban ka naam..

Kursi hi jod-tod se banti hai Proctor.

Kursi ki mutthiyon men hai taqseem-e-khair-o-shar..

Kursi Registrar bhi, F.O. bhi hai janaab.

Kursi agar n khush ho to hai zindagi azaab..

Mujh par hu'e jo zulm, unhen bhool jaayiye.

Kursi ke ilm-e-ghaib pe eimaan laayiye..

Daanish-kade ki saari nizaamat isi se hai.

Kitne hi khaandaanon ki barkat isi se hai..

Kursi ho be-lagaam to aa jaay zalzalaa.

Kursi se dushmani ka kare kaun hauslaa..

Andaaz-e-kajravi hai to afzal hain kursiyaan.

Jinmen sharaafaten hain vo bekal hain kursiyaan..

Ghundon ki parvarish se hai kursi ki aabroo.

Vo sar uthaaye jismen ho pitne ki aarzoo..

Haq maangna hai kursi ke nazdeek sarkashee.

Qaanoon, sirf kursi ke honton ki hai hansee..

Fanne-musaahibi men jise kuchh kamaal ho.

Kursi ke saath milke bahot maalamaal ho..

Kursi men ho sadaandh to khshboo kaho use.

Ghaplaa nazar men aaye to jaadoo kaho use..

Kursi ka dabdabaa ho to jeene ka hai mazaa.

Kursi se jod-tod men hai sabka faaydaa..

Ilm-o-adab ki baat saraasar fuzool hai.

Kursi n ho to aadmi sahraa ki dhool hai..

Har-jaa dikhaayi deti hai kursi ki aab-o-taab..

Kursi parast aaj hain peer-o-jawaan sabhi.

Sabki nigaah kursi jhapatne men hai lagi..

Kursi mile to aadmi masroor kyon n ho ?

Allaa-miyan se phir vo bahot door kyon n ho ?

Kursi ke saath zaate-Khuda ka vujood hai.

Kursi ke haq men aaj salaam-o-durood hai..

ALIGNAAMA KI TEEN NAZMEN

1.GHILAF-E-BEHISI
Ghilaf-e-behisi yahaan,
Fareb-khurda, bad-hawaas, khudgharaz-
Fizaayen karti ja rahi hain zebe-tan.
Chalo yahaan se,
Ab yahaan ki zindagi men bas gayi hai,
Zehr se bhari ghutan.
Riwaayaton ke khush-numa tilism
Ab nahin rahe,
Sha'ur-o-aql ka bacha nahin kahin koi nishan,
Sabhi hain ek -doosre se badguman.
Uroos-e-ilm sar se pair tak, baghair pairhan,
Hayaat ke liye bhatak rahi hai dar-b-dar,
Samete dil men dard ki chubhan.
Ajeeb saaniha hai, is ke sarparast,
Khud hain ispe khanda-zan.
Koi hai ahle-ilm,
Badh ke jo ise sanbhal le ?
Kisi ki zindagi men hai ye hausla,
Ke apni zindagi men iski zindagi ko dhal le ?
Museebaton ki tez aandhiyon ki zad se,
Is wafa-shi'aar ko nikal le ?
Jawaab men mileen mujhe,
Harek taraf khmoshiyaan.
Nahin bache kahin bhi ab,
Lagaane wale jaan-o-dil ki baaziyan.
Hayaat har taraf hai aaj,
Taajiraana bhes men.
Badi ke sab mujassame,
Hain mukhlisaana bhes men.
Dilon men unsiyat nahin,
Kisi men zindagi-nawaaz,
Koi bhi sifat nahin.
Khizaan ki chot se,
Jhulas gaye hain sab ke tan-badan.
Uloom ke waqaar ka,
Ye marmareen mahal hai nang-e-fikr-o-fan.
Qadam qadam pe maut hai,
Nafas nafas hai ahrman.
N ho sakega ab yahaan
Kabhi bhi koi shaadman.
Ghilaafe-behisi yahan
fizaayen karti jaa rahi hain zebe-tan.

2. WAADI-E-PECHAAN
Tumne is waadi-e-pechaan ko bahot pas se dekha hoga,
Tumne mahsoos kiya hoga ke khushrang tilismon ka jahaan,
Roz-o-shab rahta hai aabad yahaan.
Ilm-o-hikmat ka tasawwur hai faqat maamla'e sud-o-ziyan.
Sab hain aapas men hareef-e-dil-o-jaan.
Har taraf phaile hain,
Khud-sakhta zulmaat ke benoor makan,
Kursiyan nasb hain har samt parastish ke liye,
Log ek-doosre se milte hain saazish ke liye,
AAnkhen bichh jaati hain aaqa ki nawazish ke liye.
Dosti, rasme-wafaa se mahroom.
Zindagi, baahami rishton ki du'a se mahroom.
Log chalte hain kuchh is tarh,
Nahin chhodte paa'on ke nishan.
Husne-ikhlaaq-o-amal, baar-e-garan.
Masjiden hoti hain taamir,
Ghasab-karda zameenon pe yahaan.
Hirs ki goonjti hai jin men azaan
Yaani Allah ki azamat ka hai iqrar,
Faqat zeenat-e-aswaat-e-zabaan.
Reesh sunnat hai, dikhaave ke liye,
Topiyan sar pe, chhalave ke liye.
Sab Musalman hain, eimaan ke daawe ke liye.
Sab ki peshaani pe,
Tamaghaat ki soorat se ubhar aaye hain
Sajdon ke nishaan.
Atthe-panje ki siyasat men hain masroof,
Namaazi ban kar.
Khush hain,
Khwabon men hui jangon ke ghaazi ban kar.
Vo mulazim ho, ke ustaad, ke ho daanishju,
Council-o-Unian-o-Court ki bheeni khshbu,
Intikhaabon ke wasile se,
Chalaa deti hai apna jadu.
Jo bhi chun jaay samajh lo use meraaj mili,
Khil gayi uske muqaddar ki kali.
Daakhle aur taqarrur men suni jaati hain baaten uski,
Manqanat uski hai, naaten uski,
Muhre uske hain bisaaten uski,
Murgh-o-maahi ke tanaavul se,
Saji rahta hai raaten uski.
Mahfilon men hai charaaghaan us se,
Rob khaata hai musalman us se.
Iqtidaaraat ka milna hai yahan raahat-e-jan,
Hota hai kursi-nasheenon ko, khudaa'i ka gumaan
Samjhe jate hain wahi ahl-e-nazar, ahl-e-zabaan.
Saahib-e-ilm faqat muhr-b-lab rahte hain,
Zindagi unki hai maanind-e-khizan.
Haal aisa hi raha gar,
To khabar kisko hai, kal kya hoga.
Tumne is waadi-e-pechaan ko bahot paas se dekha hoga.

3. NIZAAM-E-KAJRAVI
Ye mahfilen, ye dosti, ye e'tabar kuchh nahi.
Kisi pe aaj aadmi ka ikhtiyar kuchh nahin..
Farishte hans rahe hain nekiyon ke zikr-e-khair par,
Safar men shaitanat ke, zeest ka waqaar kuchh nahin..
Nafas-nafas hai apni zaat ki numaishon men gum,
Bashar ke saamne vujoode-kirdagaar kuchh nahin..
Vo ilm ho le ho amal, tijaaraten hain har taraf,
bala se khalfishaar ho, ye khalfishaar kuchh nahin..
Usool ki jo baat kar raha ho, bad-dimaagh hai,
Nizam-e-kajravi men fard-e-burdbaar kuchh nahin..
Zameen pe ho rahe hain roz, aaqibat ke faisle,
Khuda hain kursiyan, Khuda-e-noor-o-naar kuchh nahin.
N koi markaze-uloom hai n tarbiyat-kada,
Jawan hain bad-tameeziyan, tameezdar kuchh nahin..
Siyaah-kaariyon ka raqs hai faqat urooj par,
Badi ka ek khmaar hai, bajuz khmaar kuchh nahin..
Tilaa'i-nuqra'i rivaayaton ke khol men saja,
Khizan-raseeda darsgaah ka dayaar kuchh nahin..
Alig hain vo aaj, jo lahoo-b-kaf hain saf-b-saf,
Nahaaye apne khoon men jo shaheed-e-daar, kuchh nahin..
Khuda ki rahmaton ke saare chashme khushk ho gaye,
Chaman tha jin se shaadmaan, vo aabshaar kuchh nahin..

ALIGNAAMA KI DO NAZMEN

ALIGNAAMA , Zaidi Jafar Raza ki un nazmon ka majmu'aa hai jo 1962 se 2000 ke darmiyaan likhi gayin. Inhen Aligarh Muslim University ke pasmanzar men hi samjhaa ja sakta hai.
1. YE EK GULSHAN THA

Ye ek gukshan tha,
Jiske phoolon pe naaz tha uske baaghban ko.
Yahaan ki khushboo -
Sukoon-bakhsh aur janfiza thi,
Hayaat ki ne'maten lutaakar,
Masarraton se nawaazti thi ye dojahaan ko.
Yahaan kabhi bukbukon ke naghme,
Dilon ko apni mithaas se,
Shaadmaniyan bakhshte the, khwaabon men rang bharkar,
Yahaan kabhi shokhiyon se labrez,
Khush-adaa, dil-nawaaz ghunchon ke saaz par,
Gungunaye jaate the geet ulfat ke,
Jin se thi sab fiza muattar.
Yahaan ke phoolon ke rang, jaise bhi hon,
Nazar aate the gulaabi,
Yahaan ke waa'iz ,
Suroor-e-mai ke baghair the husn ke sharaabi.
Ajab zamaana tha, har taraf
Ishq ke karishmon ke tazkare the.
Har ek tha jaan-nisar,
Har dil men jaan dene ke hausle the.
Udaasiyon ki ghataayen naapaid theen,
Chamakte safed purnoor baadlon par sawaar,
Ushshaaq ke dilon men,
Balaa ke jur'at-pasand, be-khauf walwale the.
Yahaan ki subhen khmaar-aalood theen,
Shafaq ke sunahre aanchal men pal raha tha,
Shabaab unka.
Yahaan ki shaamen thin rooh-parwar,
Kisi ko raas aata unka kaajal,
Koyi lagaata khizaab unka.
Yahaan ki purnoor vaadiyaan,
Dekhta tha jhuk-jhuk ke chaand aksar,
Samajhta tha, bas , khuda ki jannat,
Agar kahin hai, to hai yahin par.
Paraaya koyi n tha,
Sab apne the,
Sab ke seenon men dil dhadakta tha ek jaisa,
Sabhi ko gulshan ki aabru ka khayaal tha,
Sab ki hasraton ka chman, mahakta tha ek jaisa.
Safeene ulfat ke be-khtar,
Aag ke samandar se khelte the,
Hansee ke ghungroo,
Takallufaate-jahaan se aazad,
Khwaab ke dar se khelte the.
Yahaan ka har baankpan niraala tha,
Har adaa be-misaal thi,
Sab khuloos ke paikaron men dhalkar,
Jhukaate the roz-o-shab ,
Jabeen-e-niyaaz apni is aastan ko.
Muwaddibaana salaam karte the,
Is zameen-e-falaknuma ko,
Ye ek gulshan tha,
Jis ke phoolon pe naaz tha iske baaghban ko.

2. KIS SE KISKO KHATRA HAI
Aahni daron men sab, qaid ho rahe hai kyon
Iqtidaar paakar bhi, past hausle hain kyon
Jaan ki hifazat ke, saare silsile hain kyon
Dahshaten hain chehron par, iztiraab aankhon men,
Kaisa ye tamashaa hai, kis se kis ko khatra hai?
Zalzale imaarat se , poochh kar naheen aate
Sarphire, damaaghon men, le ke dar naheen aate
Khairiyat ki chaahat men, ahle-shar naheen aate
Khidkiyon ke sheeshon ke, tootne ka andesha,
Kyon dilon men baitha hai, kis se kis ko khatra hai?
Yun asaatiza shayad, darsgaah men pahle
Baahmi siyaasat ki, the n raah men pahle
Kuchh khuloos baaqi tha, har nigaah men pahle
Vaise paak-daaman ab, kho gaye kitaabon men
Kyon dilon men keena hai, kis se kis ko khatra hai?
Daftaron ki faail men, be-usooliyan har soo
Bhaayiyon-bhateejon ka, pal raha jahan har soo
Rishwaton ke rishte bhi, hain yahan vahan har soo
Intezaamiya apni, aankh band rakhti hai,
Jaane maamla kya hai, kis se kis ko khatra hai?
Sherwaaniyon waale, leedaraan-e-millat hain
Talibilm hain to kya, raazdaan-e-millat hain
Badtameeziyan unki, Tarjumaan-e-millat hain
Uljhanen hain shikve hain, har zabaan par jaari,
Jaane maajra kya hai, kis se kis ko khatra hai.

1. YE KYA HUA
Ye kya hua ke zindagi ka aaftaab
Zulmaton ki bad-she'aar badliyon ki zad men hai.
Tameez-e-khair-o-shar
Harees aandhiyon ki zad men hai.
Ye kya hua ke khaan'ye khuda ke har chahaar simt,
Kufr-basta muntakhib mujassame
Tahal rahe hain haajiyon ke bhes men.
Nawasa-e-Nabi-e-haq,
Imame-waqt,
Hai nishaana'e jafa,
Sha'ur-e-noor-o-aagahi ke des men.

Ye kya hua ke fard-fard
Mustafa (s) ke ghar ka fikrmand hai!
Ye kis tarah ka khadsha'e gazand hai!
Dilon men haq-shenaas sa'aton ke hausle
Zabaan pe khulq-e-fakhr-e-ambiya ki
Tarbiyat ka sail-e-bekraan liye
Har ek kamsin-o-jawan,
Baqaaye deene Rehmatul-lil-aalmin (s) ke josh men
Hatheliyon pe jaan liye,
Nawasa'e Nabi-e-Haq (s) ke saath hai
Bashar ka dard ufaq-ufaq
Lahoo-nishaan gule-shafaq ke saath hai.
Ye kya hua ke zindagi ka aaftab
Zulmaton ki bad-she'aar badliyon ki zad men hai.

2. YE KAISA MANZAR HAI

Ye kaisa manzar hai Karbala men !
Ke regzaaron ki shola-afshaaniyon ke chehre
Gule-Nabuwat ki
Aayaton ke huroof ki khushbu'yen samete,
Khamosh lab, dil-shikasta, hairat-zada saraapa,
muraqqa-e-nafse-kulle eimaan ko tak rahe hain.
Falak pe khursheed,
Neeyate-sajda-e-tashakkur se hai khameeda,
Furaat, zakhmon se choor, majboor, aab-deeda,
Sada-e-nauhaa baland karti fizzayen
Khaimon ki dhadkanon ka sha'ur lekar,
Sitam-raseeda,
Jawan-o-bekas,
Gulaab-laashon pe seenazan hain.

Kahin bahen ke jigar ke tukdon ke,
Thande jismon pe,
Kamsinee ki shu'aayen aansu baha rahi hain.
Kahin akhee ki mohabbaton ke
Nishaane-gulguun-qabaa se
Paiham lipat ke,
Sooraj ki sabz kirnen,
Zameer-e-insaan jagaa rahi hain.
Kahin shabeeh-e-Nabi ke lahje men,
Gard-aalood, jaan-balab, Ghamzada hawaayen,
Azaane-Khaaliqq sunaa rahi hain.
Kahin kate baazuon ki tishnadahen,
Tamannaaye,
Pyaase bachchon ko aabe-kausar pila rahi hain.

Sadaaye-nusrat ki,
Shafqaton se bhari hui god men,
Abhi ek gauhare-aabdaar,
Ghuncha-dahen mujaahid,
Baqaaye-abadi ka jaam-e-khushrang pee chuka hai.
Nahaa ke apne lahoo men,
Zulm-o-sitam ke honton ko see chuka hai.
Abhi-abhi Zulfaqaar,
Nannhi si ek turbat banaa ke,
Sabr-o-reza ke maani bata chuki hai.
Abhi-abhi ek maan,
khayaalon men
Sar-barahna nikal ke laashon ke darmiyan se,
Sagheer ko le ke god men,
Maamta ka jhoola jhula chuki hai.
Imam tanha hain
Jaan-nisaaron ki saf men koyi nahin bacha hai.
Ye kaisa manzar hai Karbalaa men ?

Mujhe logon ne kyon is kaarvan men kar liya shamil,

Masaayib toot padne par bhi aankhen nam nahin hoteen,
Mera azme-safar aah-o-fughaan se be-talluq hai.
Main apni manzilon ke raston ko khud hi chunta hoon,
Meri raftaar, pairon ke nishaan se be-talluq hai.
Meri bheegi hui aankhon men hai ik aag ka darya,
Zamaana mere is aatish-fishaan se be-talluq hai.
Saleeqa seekhta kaise bhala main shehryaaron ka,
Mera afsaana, unki daastan se be-talluq hai.
Mujhe jafar raza dushwaariyan mehsoos kyon hongi,
Meri fikre-rasaa, sood-o-ziyaan se be-talluq hai.

HASRAT MOHANI : EK INFERADI SHAKHSIYAT

Allama Shibli Nomani ne intehayi sadalauhi ke sath ek mauqe par Hasrat se sawal kiya tha-"tum admi ho ya jin, pahle shayir the, phir politician bane aur ab baniye ho gaye? Zahir hai ke shayir ya siyasatdan hona ya baniye ka pesha akhtiyar karna, aisa koyi jinnati amal nahin hai jis par t'ajjub ka izhar kiya jay. Harchand ke Shibli ka ye jumla unki shokh-tab'yi ka nateeja tha, lekin bilfarz Hasrat ko jin tasawwur karne ke peechhe Shibli ka ye khayal raha ho ke hasbe khwahish he'at aur surat tabdil kar lene se, ek shakhs insaan se jin ban jata hai , aur Hasrat ka amali siyasat men qadam rakhne ke bad swdeshi kapdon ka istor khol kar baith jana, aisa hi ek iqdam tha, to is jumle men ek latif mazaq ke bajay, hasrat ki mukammal shakhsiyat ko ek ghalat zaviye se dekhne aur use tamasha tasawwur karne ka ishara milega. Jabke haqiqat ye hai ke Hasrat ki tabi'at kisi e'tbar se tamasha n thi. Ijt'ma'i ziddain ka hona ek badi khubi hai n ke kamzori ya nuqs. Haan unke hamasron men se beshtar aise the jinhen Hasrat ki tabi'at ka irfan hasil n tha , isliye -Hai mashqe-sukhan jari chakki ki mashaqqat bhi/ ek turfa tamasha hai Hasrat ki tabi'at bhi, ki unke nazdeek asan tashrih yahi thi ke hasrat ki shakhsi'at ek tamasha hai.
Hasrat buniyadi taur par ek shayir the, aur mulki siyasat se wabastgi waqt ka taqaza thi. Zindagi ke samne agar ek maqsad ho to zindagi ba'mani ban jati hai aur sheri takhliqat men bhi uski hararat asani se mahsus ki ja sakti hai. Halat kaise bhi takleefdeh kyon n hon aur raste kitne hi dushwar-talab hon, agar insan jad'e fara'iz par sabit qadam rahta hai , to uski ye sabit qadmi
use azeem bana deti hai. Hasrat ki sha'iri asri siyasat ke abshar men dhuli hui hai aur Hasrat ki siyasat unke sha'irana sha'ur se ghiza hasil karti hai.
Takhliqi adab aur siyasat ke darmiyan Shibli ke nazdik, khwah ko'i rishta ho ya n ho, Thomas Maan ka khayal hai ke 'ghair-siyasi hona kisi pehlu se bhi ghair-jamhuri hone se kam nahin hai aur takhliqi adab kisi e'tbar se bhi ghair-jamhuri nahin ho sakta.' Zahir hai ke jamhuri'at men kamil yaqin rakhne wala sha'ir siyasat se dur rah bhi kaise sakta hai?
Gorki se mut'alliq Lenin ka khayal tha ke 'wo mizajan siyasatdan nahin tha, lekin use mahaz ek fankar kahna bhi kafi n hoga. Uska siyasi sha'ur mukammal taur par bedar tha aur amali siyasat men uski sargarmi'an use siyasatdanon ki saf men bhi khada kar deti hain.' Theek yahi bat Hasrat mohani se muta'lliq kahi ja sakti hai. Tabi'atan vo ek darvesh-sifat insan the. Is maslak ki buniyad men ruh aur khayal ki vo azadi thi jo baqaul Hasrat kisi tarah qaid hona janti hi n thi.
Ruh azad hai khayal azad

maya'e-ishrate-behad hai ghame-qaide-wafa

Hasrat ko is bat ka yaqin tha ke jo 'dil-shudgane-khud-faramosh hain, qaid ki bandishin men rahkar bhi vo baharhal azad rahenge -
azad hain qaid men bhi Hasrat,
Ham dil-shudgane-khud-faramosh.
Hasrat ka inqalabi zahen nijat-e-Hind ki arzu se labrez tha. Yahi wajah hai ke vo yas-o-na'umidi ke insidad ke liye himmate-sarbaland ko lazmi samajhte the. Unhen pata tha ke ahle jaur ki sakhtiyan shorishe hubbe-watan ko phailne ke mawaqe faraham karti rahengi. Vo jante the ke Watan ki mohabbat i'man ka juz hai. Hasrat ki apne maqsad se ye waalihaana wabastagi qaidkhaane ki sa'ubaton ke dauran bhi unhen tadreese-haq ke liye uksaati hai aur chakki peesne ki mashaqqat, mashq-e-sukhan ki lai aur naghmagi se ham aahang hokar mehnat-kashi se lutf-andoz hone ki tarbiyat deti hai. Chakki ki ghargharaahat ka shor-angez sauti aahang, ash'aar ki gungunahat men jazb hokar inqalaabi aahang men tabdeel ho jata hai, jis se Hasrat ke hauslon ko jilaa milti hai. Nateeje ke taur par ye hausle , bekhauf mulki aazadi ke maidaan-e-kaarzar men, Hasrat ko ghalba'e-aada ke khilaaf date rahne ki quwat bakhshte hain. Hasrat fakhriya andaaz men farmaate hain-

Hasrat ke maslak men e'zaaz-e-shahaadat hasil karne ki zabardast tadap hai. Is maslak par chalne wala achchhi tarah jaanta hai ke "zebaa'ish-e-farq-e-aashiqi" ke liye "dastaar-e-junoon" men "gham ke pevand" ka hona zaroori hai. Yahaan fard, daulat ke saamne jhukta nahin, balke Hasrat ki tarah apni khaak-nasheeni par fakhr karta hai. Qaid-e-firang ki sakhtiyon se lutf-andoz hone ke baad, Hasrat ka kirdaar, azm-o-istaqlaal ke aahni aslahon ko zeb-e-tan kar letaa hai aur zulm-o-istabdaad ke khilaaf baghaawat ka naara

Allahabad jail men jab superintendent ne unki ainak ko daakhil-e-daftar kar ke unhen be-dast-o-pa bana diya, to unke azaa'im aur sabr-o-istiqlaal ne unki basaarat ko tawanayi bakhshi. Kabhi hote n the khote.
Habeeb-o-Haadi-o-Saahaa-v-Gill ke ilm ke charche
Hu'a karte the bazmon men aqeedat se,
Rais-o-Moonis-o- Nooru Hasan,
Be-misl the aql-o-zahaanat men,
Hafeez-e-kaj-kulah, yaktaa the qaanooni liyaqat men.
Bahot mumtaaz theen Mumtaaz aapa har jama'at men.
Hawa'on men yahaan qaus-e-qazah ka rang shaamil tha,
Demaaghon men sabhi ke-
Ek goshe men dhadakta,
Dardmandi se bhara dil tha.
Yahaan har shakhs apni zaat men khud ek mahfil tha.
Main ab bhi is azeemushshaan Daanishgaah ka
